On Dec. 18, 2015, the Hawaii Department of Health’s Office of Health Care Assurance, awarded BioTrackTHC the state contract for tracking the production, transportation and sales of medical marijuana. This will allow the Hawaii Department of Health a real-time visibility into the seed-to-sale tracking data of every licensed medical marijuana dispensary in the state.
The technologies of the company enable both government agencies and businesses to track every plant throughout its production life cycle, from cultivation to sales and consumption, thus giving transparency, accountability and feedback of the state’s medical marijuana program.
To date, Hawaii will be the fifth state to give BioTrackTHC a cannabis-related government contract together with Washington, New Mexico, Illinois and New York. BioTrackTHC is used in more than 1500 medical and recreational cannabis facilities in 23 states.
